I am currently studying Service Systems Design (MSc.) at Aalborg University in Copenhagen. Previously I worked as a UX/UI and Communication Designer. I am looking for an internship in relation to my studies starting from September 2026.

I am Katharina

I have previously worked as a Communication and UX/UI Designer where I learned valuable skills, but I now want to focus on the future and consider the impact of my actions today. That is why I want to contribute to a liveable future for humans and other species on this planet, working as a Service Designer to design interactions, processes and infrastructure and create innovative solutions to wicked problems.

I am particularly interested in working with social innovation through participatory, transition and circular design.

My perspective

As humans growing up as part of society we all have a unique way of looking at the world. I acknowledge the fact, that my perspective is biased by my identity, my experiences and my education. To give you a glimpse of my perspective:

I am a white, cisgender, heterosexual woman with an invisible disability (Diabetes Type 1). I grew up in Germany, where I had free access to higher education, healthcare and a highly developed infrastructure. Being the first academic in my family, I grew up in a working-class family with three siblings, surrounded by lively discussions and encouragement to stand up for my values.
